John Goodman on Community (NBC)

John Goodman, with two movies nominated for Oscars, hit the set of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Tuesday night, and after sharing stories about sleeping on the street following a Boone’s Farm-filled night at Mardi Gras, Kimmel asked the actor about the news that Goodman was reteaming with Roseanne Barr for a new show.

Last week, news circulated that Goodman has signed on to Barr’s new NBC comedy pilot “Downwardly Mobile,” about a trailer park community in which he would play the handyman. Kimmel asked about the prospects of working with Barr, who plays the owner of the park and served as her on-air husband on “Roseanne.”

“Its gonna be great, I won’t have to meet any new people,” Goodman said of the show.

After describing Barr as “crazy,” Kimmel asked about how he got along with the comedienne.

“We’re all crazy in one way or another, but the people love the crazy folks,” Goodman said before adding, “We got along, she made me laugh and I did my best to make her laugh.”

Kimmel noted that Barr once wrote an article saying that she fell in love with Goodman while filming the sitcom.

“She’s crazy!” said Goodman.
