UPDATED: One of Whitney Houston’s most candid interviews (and possibly her most candid) will be re-aired in its entirety this Thursday, courtesy of Oprah Winfrey, who conducted the interview in 2009. It was first seen in September of that year in the premiere episode of the new season of the old “Oprah Winfrey Show.”

This time around, it will be aired as part of a two-hour special on Houston’s life that Oprah is putting together to air Thursday (Feb. 16) on OWN, starting at 9 p.m./8c, Oprah announced Sunday.

In the interview, Houston candidly discussed her drug addictions and her tumultuous marriage to Bobby Brown. The two-hour special will have Oprah sharing her personal memories of Whitney, who died Saturday at age 48. In one of our clips below, Oprah talked about this Whitney Houston interview shortly before it aired in 2009.

PREVIOUSLY: Whitney Houston did a round of interviews in 2009 to promote the release of a “comeback” album called “I Look to You.”

Among other places, she was interviewed along with music mogul Clive Davis on “Access Hollywood.” Houston, who died Saturday in Beverly Hills, seemed to have her life together in the interview, which you can watch right here:

Oprah Winfrey also did an interview with Whitney at around the same time. In fact, “The Oprah Winfrey Show” was Whitney’s first stop in that publicity swing. And Oprah was excited about it, as she herself stated in this “Access Hollywood” interview from that same period:

The A&E-owned Biography Channel got around to profiling Whitney with her own “Biography” in 2007. We have that one too — it’s a great way to take a look back at her incredible career.
