Another day, another potential host of “The X Factor.”
On today’s edition of the real-life soap, website Media Takeout reports that Simon Cowell – fresh off booting judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger from the show – was after the great Beyoncé to take a chair on the singing competition. Furthermore, the article states that Cowell was willing to give the singer a cool $500 million dollars to take the gig over a span of five years.
That’s a lot of moolah… if it was true.
E! Online managed to squelch the report later in the afternoon, reporting that although executives think she would be a great addition to the show, the Beyoncé/Cowell pairing was unlikely and that the $500 million figure is “especially crazy.”
Looks like it’s back to Mariah.
