The Wednesday Buzz: Bill Murray Kicks Some Field Goals and More

by | February 1, 2012 at 9:32 AM | The Buzz, The Late Show with David Letterman

As part of his celebration of 30 years in late night, Dave Letterman welcomed Bill Murray — his first guest on “Late Night” and the “Late Show” — to the Ed Sullivan Theater last night, and Murray was in full shtick mode. He was dressed in a full Giants uniform, wearing his shoulder pads on the outside, pretending that he was staying limber in case Big Blue needed an emergency kicker for the Super Bowl.

Outside the theater, Dave held for Murray as he tried to kick field goals from what looked like about 10 yards away. The ref was the always-available Regis Philbin. One of Murray’s kicks made it over the crossbar, but most of the others weren’t so successful.
