The very last episode of “One Life to Live” today also prompted the ladies of “The View” to pay tribute to the history of the recently departed daytime staple.

The talk show brought in past and well as present stars of the soap opera, to look at the 44 seasons of the show and how it changed the lives of the actors who participated in the long-running series.

Kassie DePaiva, aka Blair Manning, told the hostesses about how their romance on the series ended up leading to a real-life marriage with actor James DePaiva, who played Max Holden.

“We had met at a bar and she thought I was a jerk,” said DePaiva. “We had these wonderful scenes where we threatened each other’s life or have these wonderful torrid love scenes. The problem came when we started having love scenes with other people,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lawrence Fishburne who played Josh West, was interviewed about his experiences on the show, “I was a pre-teen, I was 11 years old when I worked on OLTL.”

He recalled the benefits of working with a “very young” Tom Berenger and Tommy Lee Jones.

“I would have them autograph my scripts and then take them home and sell it to make a little cash on the side,” he admits.
