Real Housewives of New York” one-time pillar Jill Zarin made it known in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that she was, indeed, fired from the Bravo show. Why was she fired? Well that’s an answer that even she can’t explain, in spite of reports that it was salary demands that ended the relationship.

In the interview, she tells the publication that as of June of last year, it “wasn’t even a question” of whether she was going to be brought back. But after Labor Day, things completely reversed course, stating that she got the dreaded call that the show decided to go in a different diretion.

“I was upset because I was told to put my life on hold. But I didn’t argue, I wasn’t going to try to sell anyone. I said, ‘OK. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me.’ Andy Cohen called shortly after, which I’m sure was a difficult thing to do. He gave me the respect I deserved considering I committed four years of my life to the show. He said they wanted the series to go in a different direction and that last season ended very dark — which I find ironic because they could have controlled that. I filmed many happy scenes that the network canned,” she said in the interview.

You can read more of the interview here in which she talks about Bethenny Frankel and “RHONJ” star Teresa Giudice. Of course, you can watch a little more of Jill in the clip below.
