Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein in Portlandia (IFC)

The second season of IFC’sPortlandia” doesn’t return to television until Friday, but the first episode of the series has been made available online (which you can watch below) and pays tribute to “Battlestar Galactica.”

In the episode stars Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen become so infatuated with watching a marathon of “BSG” that they lose the jobs and develop bladder infections because they can’t leave the TV screen. The installment, dubbed “One More Episode,” features the pair hunting down “Battlestar” series creator Ronald D. Moore to write one last show of the series. ”BSG” vets Edward James Olmos and James Baltar guest star, as so Jeff Goldblum and Eddie Vedder (who, alas, did not appear in the Sci-Fi franchise).

Watch the first episode below or tune-in on Friday at 10 p.m. when it runs on IFC. Of course, if you want to watch your own marathon of “Battlestar Galactica,” you can click here.
