After suffering a miscarriage with her 20th child earlier this month and holding a memorial service for the lost baby, “19 Kids and Counting” matriarch Michelle Duggar posted a video on her family’s website reading a letter the mother wrote for her lost child.
“Dear Jubilee, Mommy wanted to write a letter to her precious baby girl. You know, your name—Jubilee Shalom Duggar—means ‘joyful celebration of peace.’ We were so thankful to God when we found out that we were expecting you,” she said in the tribute video to her child before going on to talk about how the other children in the family were “disappointed” at never being able to welcome the girl into their family.
Duggar continues by stating that she will add her birth date and name to the baby wall. “From now on, when I’m asked how many children I have, the answer will be 21—19 here and two in heaven. You are precious to me, Jubilee. Mommy loves you.”
You can watch the video on the website here.
The pregnancy, of course, quickly became a hot topic in the media before the miscarriage.
