After suffering criticism for her votes throughout the season, “X Factor” judge Nicole Scherzinger isn’t committing to appear in another season of the Fox competition, according to Deadline.com. When asked by reporters at a press conference on Monday about her future on the show, she replied that “I’ve had a lot of fun this season. The reason I took this job is I wanted to mentor, first and foremost…It has been very hard on me, the elimination process. It’s something I could never have been prepared for.”

Although the Simon Cowell-inspired series has already been renewed for year two, Scherzinger has undergone sharp criticism as well as death threats for some of her decisions on the show, including a choice that led to the ousting of 13-year-old Rachel Crow.

“For me, what’s important is to live in the moment. I’ve got to get Josh through this and to come out swinging,” Scherzinger said. “So I’m just going to focus on doing a really good job with Josh here.”

The report also said that Cowell would not address Scherzinger’s future.
