Today is a good day for those of you who are fans of celebrities getting pranked: MTV has decided to bring back “Punk’d,” with the original’s producer, Ashton Kutcher, on board to produce the new version, according to a press release from the network.

But with Kutcher currently keeping “Two and a Half Men” going on a weekly basis, it’s pretty likely he’s not going to return as host. Entertainment Weekly points out that reports have been circulating that there will be a rotating set of celebrity hosts, with Justin Bieber already having been witnessed pulling a prank on one of his celebrity friends. But no official word is coming on if that’s true.

MTV will preview the show during its New Year’s Eve festivities, so we’ll find out what’s what in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, get ready to see your favorite celebrities shake with anger while someone in a van pees their pants while laughing hard. It was a hit for MTV for four years, and in a world where “Fear Factor” can make a successful comeback, “Punk’d” has a pretty good chance of being a hit again.
