‘Glee’: Jackson Tribute News, a Proposal, and a Christmas Preview

It’s Christmastime at McKinley High, as “Glee” gives us their latest holiday episode tonight on FOX. Besides all the holiday cheer and a version of “Do They Know It’s Christmas” that’s been endorsed by both Bono and Sting, the episode will give viewers a chance to relive the horror that was the “Star Wars Holiday Special,” complete with another one-named star: Chewbacca.

But tonight’s holiday festivities aren’t the only “Glee” news floating around the interwebs. Word is starting to leak out about the plot and songs in the upcoming Michael Jackson tribute episode, which is being shot this week.

In the world of “Glee” there’s usually not much that needs to be done to get the New Directions into a theme week, and this time is no exception: According to TV Guide, Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) creates “Michael Week” after the members of break-off group The Troubletones express regret that they didn’t sing MJ songs during regionals. Blaine (Darren Criss) will sing “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’,” and Rachel (Lea Michele) will sing “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You.”

Meanwhile Morrison, who directs tonight’s episode, tells E! Online about a post-break episode called “The Proposal,” which will contain “a proposal in a way you’ve never seen or could have ever imagined in your life.” Whether that’s between Will and his super-regimented sweetheart Emma (Jayma Mays), but chances there are good.
