‘Against the Wall’ Gets the Axe

Lifetime has pulled the plug on cop drama “Against the Wall.”

Cast member Brandon Quinn broke the news on Twitter, telling fans that “I’d like to thank @lifetimetv, the #AgainstTheWall writers and the Amazing fans of Against The Wall but unfortunately we’ve been canceled ”

Other members of the show’s crew quickly responded with confirmations of their own. Writers for the show, under the handle @ATW_Writers tweeted “guessing many of you saw @TheBrandonQuinn’s tweet — just found out we won’t be coming back for a second season.”

They then spent the remainder of the evening responding to fans who had been campaigning in recent weeks of the drama series to be picked up for another season. “we really can’t express how much your support has meant to us. going to miss our coworkers and the show, but also: YOU!”

The series starred Rachael Carpani as a Chicago police officer in the internal affairs division, and debuted to 1.8 million viewers.

In addition to recently announced remakes of movies such as “Blue Lagoon” and “Steel Magnolias,” The Hollywood Reporter reports that Lifetime has also added “The Client List” with Jennifer Love Hewitt to their schedule and picked up pilot orders to “Modern Love” and Melanie Griffith’s “American Housewife.”
