ABC has gotten a comedy toehold on Tuesday nights with Tim Allen‘s “Last Man Standing,” but hasn’t had the same success with “Man Up!”, which follows it. Now comes word that the show has been pulled from ABC’s schedule, effective immediately, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The show had been scheduled to air at 8:30 pm on Tuesdays through year’s end, when it’ll be taken over by the (gulp) cross-dressing sitcom “Work It” (otherwise known as “Bosom Buddies 2012″). But the show’s ratings have dropped so far, now averaging about 4.8 million viewers in the target demo, that ABC has decided to pull it sooner and put repeats of “Standing” in its place until “Work It” starts.

The remainder of the ten episodes produced will likely be aired over the summer, says THR, and isn’t likely to return. But for now, it’s in that same limbo as “Pan Am.” But we doubt that “Man Up!” has even “Pan Am’s” slim chance of coming back.
