The Girls Next Door

Hugh Hefner shows why he’s the world’s most envied man in ‘The Girls Next Door‘: The Complete Series, the fun-filled collection of every episode of the hit E! reality show about the ladies who share the Playboy Founder’s legendary lifestyle. For six eye-opening seasons, ‘The Girls Next Door’ dropped the towel to reveal all the goings-on at the Playboy Mansion and beyond, from exotic European escapades to sexy and scary campouts in the “wilds” of the Mansion’s backyard, from tender moments among friends and lovers to the occasional friendly rivalry among the Playmates. ‘The Girls Next Door: The Complete Series’ captures it all in 35 glorious hours, centering around the three original girls –Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson – as well as newcomers Crystal Harris (who came this close to becoming the next Mrs. Hef) and the centerfold twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon. The dynamic blondes may have moved on (Holly to headline a Las Vegas burlesque production and TV’s Holly’s World, Bridget to an acting career and Kendra to her own reality show as well as Dancing With the Stars), but here is where it all started. In addition to all 91 episodes of the top-rated series, the box set includes a wealth of enticing extras not shown on the original E! telecasts, including commentaries with the girls on every episode, outrageous deleted and extended scenes, and the pilot for the spinoff series The Bunny House. Rhoda Williams (Marling) was driving in her car and listening to the radio when the DJ announced the discovery of Earth 2, which had just appeared from the other side of the sun. Gazing out her window at the newly discovered planet, Rhoda neglectfully careens into a minivan carrying a small family. Everyone but the father is killed instantly, and Rhoda is sentenced to four years in prison. Upon emerging, the repentant reckless driver finds herself drawn to the lone survivor. Meanwhile, Rhoda learns of an essay contest to win a seat on a civilian space shuttle to Earth 2. Perhaps, on that strangely familiar planet, an alternate version of herself exists — one that has made different choices, and followed a different life path. Chillerama

From the depraved minds of directors Adam Rifkin (Detroit Rock City, The Dark Backward), Tim Sullivan (2001 Maniacs,VH-1’s “Scream Queens”), Adam Green (Hatchet, Frozen), and Joe Lynch (Wrong Turn 2, Knights of Badassdom), ‘Chillerama’ is a festival of gore, guts, goofiness and good times. In addition to experiencing all the chills, thrills – and goo – of the ultimate midnight movie in high-definition 1080p picture and DTS-HD audio, CHILLERAMA boasts two hours of insightful and heretofore unseen bonus features that delve deep into the creative process of these four renowned directors of the macabre, as they labored and toiled to create a cinematic love letter to horror and film fans. Produced by ArieScope Pictures and in the spirit of classic “omnibus” films like Dead of Night, Tales From the Crypt, Creepshow and Twilight Zone: The Movie, with four vignettes that not only celebrate the golden age of B horror schlock but also nearly the entire history of horror cinema itself, ‘Chillerama’ offers something for every bad taste. With titles like “Wadzilla,” “I Was A Teenage Werebear,” The Diary of Anne Frankenstein,” and “Zom-B-Movie,” ‘Chillerama’ features appearances by Joel David Moore (Avatar, Hatchet), Lin Shaye (Insidious), Ray Wise (X-Men: First Class), Kane Hodder (Hatchet and Hatchet II), Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight, Sharktopus) and more cameos than one can (body)count. Cave of Forgotten Dreams

Throughout his nearly 50-year career in both documentaries, like The Great Ecstasy of Woodcarver Steiner, Encounters at the End of the World and Grizzly Man, and landmark dramas, like Aguirre, the Wrath of God, The Enigma of Kasper Hauser and Fitzcarraldo, Werner Herzog has been on an unending quest to reveal man’s drive to exceed the limits of everyday existence. Now, in ‘Cave of Forgotten Dreams,’ he has traveled back to the beginning of it all, to the very first stirrings of prehistoric man’s artistic impulse. The new documentary follows an exclusive expedition into the nearly inaccessible Cave of Chauvet-Pont-d’Arc in southern France. The cave had remained sealed by a rock slide for 25,000 years until its discovery in 1994. On its walls are vivid and sophisticated paintings of horses, cattle, lions, panthers, bears, even rhinos and extinct species; also discovered were hand prints and foot prints – all of it believed to date back 32,000 years.
