For those of you who have been fans of Anna Kournikova on “The Biggest Loser,” don’t get too attached; she won’t be returning to the show after this season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Why? Personality clashes. Kournikova has been a “nightmare” to the producers of the show, says THR, but mostly she’s hasn’t been as uplifting a coach to the contestants as her predecessor, Jillian Michaels, was.

The decision to hire Anna K. was a bit of a head scratcher to begin with. First of all, while Kournikova is a pro athlete who has never been shy about showing what kind of shape she’s in, she has had to deal with fluctuating weight problems over the years. Mostly, though, she didn’t strike anyone as the warmest person in the world, which made people wonder how she’d interact with the contestants who are desperately looking to her to whip them into shape.

Even though Michaels was tough on the contestants, especially in the workout room, she also got into their heads, trying to figure out why the contestants got so big to begin with and using that to encourage them to keep going. Apparently, according to sources at the show, Kournikova hasn’t been nearly as sympathetic. Gee, ya think? This is a woman who was born in Soviet Russia, and moved to the U.S. to hone her game at a tennis academy. We’re not sure sympathy was ever going to be a part of her game. How much do they need to pay to get Jillian back?
