A tricky triangle rears its ugly (red)head when Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) gets a visit from a former flame on tonight’s episode of “NCIS.”

Actress Melinda McGraw (“Mad Men”) plays Diane, one of Gibbs’ three ex-wives. McGraw played Don Draper’s memorable mistress Bobbie Barrett on “Mad Men” Season 2.

The redhead must have a thing for special agents. Her character’s other ex-husband — Gibbs’ best friend — also appears in the episode, with Joe Spano playing that role of FBI Special Agent Tobias Fornell. Diane comes back to complicate both men’s lives when her latest husband gets embroiled in a joint NCIS-FBI investigation.

“Imagine being the ex-wife of both Gibbs and FBI Agent Fornell,” says ‘NCIS’ executive producer Gary Glasberg to TV Guide.

“Melinda McGraw brings enormous heart, humor, bite and edge to a character we’ve known about for years, but haven’t spent much time with. This is gonna be fun!”

“NCIS” airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on CBS.
