Anderson Cooper took umbrage with the breakout of hostilities on “Dancing With the Stars” between a dance instructor and one of the judges.

Coop placed the ABC dance-competition series — which he referred to as “everybody’s mom’s favorite TV show” — on his esteemed “Ridiculist” Wednesday night on CNN for the dust-up that erupted between instructor Maks Chmerkovskiy and judge Len Goodman earlier this week.

That was when Maks took issue with Goodman’s criticism that he, Maks, deserved half the blame for the poor performance that evening (in Len’s opinion) of Maks’ “celebrity” dance partner Hope Solo.

Among other things, Maks flippantly suggested that Len consider retiring, after Len revealed he’s been in the dance business for 50 years.

Well, fun-loving Anderson found a way to lay the blame for this week’s chaos on one of his CNN colleagues, “DWTS” contestant Nancy Grace. Then he backed off of that (evidently, he realized what’s good for him!).

“Frankly, when I heard someone went off on the judges, I was sure it had to be Nancy Grace!” Cooper said, according to this story on The Huffington Post. “But I stand corrected!”

Cooper saved his harshest denunciation for Goodman, for being so hard on one of the “DWTS” instructors. “Do you think it’s easy to teach Rob Kardashian the difference between the foxtrot and the jitterbug?” Coop asked rhetorically, according to a “Ridiculist” clip you can find on the HuffPo page.

Evidently, Anderson Cooper doesn’t think too highly of “DWTS” generally. He even claimed, snidely, that he “had to look up who Rob Kardashian was.” Really? Shame on you, Anderson!
