Sam Evans’ truancy from McKinley High will be short lived. TVLine.com is reporting that Chord Overstreet, who earlier this year turned down a recurring role in the third season of “Glee,” is now shifting course and will return to the series.
Overstreet is wrapping up a deal that could bring him back to the series, according to the report, in a recurring role that could find his character Sam once again crooning for the ladies as early as episode eight. Meanwhile, he will continue working on his album for fans.
Of course, that won’t be the only character’s fate that will have to be addressed this season. Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer are all seniors and their fates after this year remain unknown.
In other Glee news, Calgary native Monteith has been named the Grand Marshall of the Grey Cup parade in Vancouver next month. Before he became the singing jock Finn Hudson, Monteith moved to the city as a teenager to begin acting. The parade will be held on Nov. 26, the day before the Canadian Football League championship game.
