LOS ANGELES — NBC is giving Twitter users a sneak peek at one of its new fall series.

Two weeks before the drama “Grimm” debuts, the network is making the first episode available to those who follow the show handle on Twitter.

Starting Friday (Oct. 14), those people began receiving a direct tweet with access information to preview the Oct. 28 premiere episode of “Grimm.”

NBC will also be screening the episode in 10 cities nationwide, starting Tuesday in Los Angeles and including Portland, Ore., where “Grimm” is filmed. Some of the show’s producers and cast members will be on hand for the Los Angeles and Portland events.

“Grimm” is a modern-day adaptation of the famed Grimm fairytales. In the show, some of the grislier aspects of the frightening old stories are “re-purposed” by the “Grimm” scriptwriters as the basis for contemporary crimes that will be investigated by modern-day homicide detectives.

This scary new series, set for Fridays at 9/8c on NBC, premieres Oct. 28, Halloween weekend.
