Whitney Cummings is living up to her It Girl title.
One day after NBC announced a full-season order of her self-starring comedy, “Whitney,” CBS has revealed they’re picking up “2 Broke Girls” for a full season.
The news came via CBS’s Twitter feed on Wednesday: “This Just In: #1 new comedy #2BROKEGIRLS picked up for full season by CBS.”
“2 Broke Girls” premiered to 19.4 million viewers behind the debut of the new “Two and a Half Men” with Ashton Kutcher. The comedy is the top new series in both viewers (15.5 million) and the key 18-49 demographic.
Cummings executive produces along with “Sex and the City” vet Michael Patrick King.
