Ty Pennington is going from moving buses to starting a revolution.

The “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” host has been tapped to come aboard ABC’s upcoming health and lifestyle series, “The Revolution.”

Pennington joins previously announced co-hosts Tim Gunn of “Project Runway” fame, and fitness guru Harley Pasternak.

“Ty’s passionate and deep connection to everyone he helps makes him the perfect choice to join ‘The Revolution,’” said ABC daytime president Brian Frons (via statement). “The energy he brings with him is an excellent complement to our previously named hosts…Our goal is to include inspiring and informative motivators as we build ‘The Revolution’ team and continue to evolve our lineup with the type of lifestyle programming that daytime viewers are interested in seeing.”

The feel-good daytime series will replace long-running soap “One Life to Live” in January 2012.
