Headwriter Ron Carlivati and five more actors have signed contracts to join the online version of “One Life To Live,” which is scheduled to premiere in January 2012 on The On-line Network, production company Prospect Park’s new online internet entertainment network.

The cast members making the move are: Melissa Archer (Natalie), Kelley Missal (Dani), Sean Ringgold (Shaun), Andrew Trischetta (Jack) and Jerry Ver Dorn (Clint).  They join previously announced cast members Erika Slezak (Viki), Kassie DePaiva (Blair), Michael Easton (John) and Ted King (Tomas.)

The Emmy-winning Carlivati, along with the show’s executive producer Frank Valentini who earlier signed a deal with Prospect Park, is credited with crafting storylines that have led to the show’s recent ratings surge. Carlivati turned down an offer to join the writing staff of “General Hospital” to continue with OLTL. According to Prospect Park’s press release, he will also get a Consulting Producer credit on the online OLTL.

The addition of Archer means that it’s a safe bet that Natalie and John’s romance will continue on the online series. Ver Dorn’s role of patriarch Clint is essential to the show. Missal’s Dani is a rootable teen character — a demographic that may become more important when the show moves online. Ringgold’s Shaun is a popular supporting character. The surprise is the inclusion of Trischetta. Though his character, Jack, is front and center, many audience members have complained that the teen thespian’s performance is subpar.

With Carlivati and Valentini at the helm, OLTL appears poised to make a seamless transition to the Internet. In contrast, there is still little information about the online version of “All My Children,” which so far has only signed two actors, Cameron Mathison and Lindsay Hartley..
