For fans who follow Patti Stanger every week on “Millionaire Matchmaker,” her explosive, stereotypical, and offensive remarks are part of the show’s foundation. Simply put: Patti’s just being Patti.

But apparently on Sunday’s Bravo “Watch What Happens: Live,” the mouthy matchmaker rubbed too many people the wrong way when she berated gay men and Jewish people, that she’s now issued a mea culpa for her brash opinions.

See What Patti Said:

“I am so sorry,” Stanger said in a statement to The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) via EW. “I did not mean to offend anyone with my comments…On ‘Watch What Happens: Live.’ ”

A Bravo spokesperson also released a statement for damage control: “Bravo regrets the comments expressed by Patti Stanger on ‘Watch What Happens: Live’.  Her comments are not representative of the network’s beliefs and opinions. We apologize for the offense it caused.”

Between Patti’s extreme gay and Jewish remarks, we guess her other gripes about single smart women on the east coast being stupid in love and heterosexual men being generally “not that bright” weren’t offensive enough to cause a stir. As for her well-documented disgust for redheads, don’t dare think she’ll issue an apology for that.
