The baby boy’s name is Henry Hornsby.
Deschanel and Hornsby — who plays Matthew “Rickety Cricket” Mara on “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” — began dating in 2007. They married in a private ceremony on September 25, 2010, in Los Angeles.
The 34-year-old actress’ character on “Bones,” Temperance Brennan, is also pregnant, in a season finale shocker in which she revealed to Booth (David Boreanaz) she was carrying his child. Look for “Bones” to go on hiatus midseason – shooting was interrupted by Deschanel’s real-life pregnancy – when Fox will launch the “Bones” spinoff “The Finder” to fill the void.
It’s been an exciting week for the Deschanel family. Henry’s aunt, Zooey Deschanel, debuted her new sitcom “The New Girl” on her sister Emily’s network Tuesday night – and it was the highest rated program of the night.
Congrats to the new mommy and the new TV star.
