Martin Lawrence is headed back to a TV screen near you…

The comedian is developing a CBS sitcom for pilot season, according to Variety. The project comes from CBS TV Studios, who’s in the process of closing a talent deal with Lawrence.

Martin hasn’t been on TV since his fox sitcom “Martin” went off the air in 1997 after five years. His most recent films include “Death at a Funeral” and “Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins.”
