Look who’s helping to promote the launch of the new “Two and a Half Men”David Letterman!

Dave has long had a reputation for keeping the network suits at arm’s length – at both NBC and CBS – but lately, he’s morphed into “Company Man Dave” as he lends a helping hand to CBS in the network’s ongoing publicity campaign leading up to the premiere of the new “Men” on Sept. 19 with new star Ashton Kutcher.

On Thursday night’s “Late Show” on CBS, Letterman enthusiastically presented a “Top Ten” list delivered by Kutcher and his “Men” co-stars – Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones – that will undoubtedly drum up viewership for the sitcom’s high-profile, high-stakes premiere.

“Good luck, gentleman,” Dave said when he introduced the segment, addressing the three stars via satellite (they were at Warner Bros. studios in Burbank). “I’m very excited!” exclaimed CBS pitchman Dave. “I think this is gonna be great for the American TV audience! I think it’s gonna be great for CBS! And there might be a little something in this for me – you know what I’m saying?”

They evidently did not have a clue what he meant, and the three sat there in stony silence – a hilarious moment. Then, it was on to the Top Ten list, titled “Top Ten Reasons to Watch the new Season of ‘Two and a Half Men’,” with each item delivered in turn by each actor.

You can watch the whole thing below, but we’ll give you a few of the one-liners to whet your appetite:

“No. 9 [delivered by Angus] – “Television is a great way to avoid interacting with your family!”

“No. 7 [delivered by Ashton, threateningly] – If you don’t [watch it], I’ll make ‘Dude, Where’s My Car 2’!”

“No. 5 [delivered by Cryer] – “This season, we’ll reveal who the mother is!” – a reference to another hit sitcom on CBS, “How I Met Your Mother.”
