Lys Agnes – who rode her booming opera voice all the way to the Top 10 of “America’s Got Talent” – will try her hand at rock and roll for tonight’s make-it-or-break-it performance.

“It is risky and it might come as kind of a shock to a lot of the fan base, but I want people to see who I am in my entirety,” she tells us.  “It is important that I show that part of my voice.  I just really want to show my full vocal range, stylistically and technically.”

Agnes, 27, is not permitted to disclose which song she will be singing.

The bleach-blonde bombshell from Denver, Colorado also captured America’s hearts with her touching backstory this season.

Before auditioning for the show, Agnes lost her fiancé in a tragic automobile accident.  She spent the next two years mourning his loss – putting her career and life on hold and a falling severely in debt.

“I was in England studying abroad (when he died) and I was getting in to the operatic repertoire,” she says.  “I was wanting to audition for The Royal Academy. And I was really on course.  Then when that happened it all fell to the wayside.  So this is kind of all about getting back on track.  That whole event has really helped push me. It was just a very dark time.   This whole competition is like night and day from the whole life I was living for the past two years.”
