There’s more dirty “Talk” about Julie Chen over at the New York Post.
According to Page Six sources, Chen’s diva behavior is behind the turmoil plaguing the show, which is undergoing a major overhaul for Season 2.
“My husband [CBS boss] Les Moonves can fire your asses any day,” Chen reportedly said to her costars. Such demands and threats have left show execs “essentially neutered,” says The Post.
“It’s the Les Moonves show starring his annoying wife,” an insider sniped.
Another source claims, “There’s going to be tension on the show because of the casting changes.”
Those casting changes include the addition of Kardashian mom Kris Jenner as a guest host, as well as the decision to have Sheryl Underwood join as a replacement for Holly Robinson Peete. Both changes were allegedly made at the demand of Chen.
Leah Remini has also been dumped from the panel, and Sharon Osbourne has reportedly threatened to quit (and is currently on a brief hiatus) in protest of Chen’s declaration that none of the co-hosts were to speak about the Casey Anthony trial except for Chen, since she is the only “real” journalist among the group.
If anyone knows how to handle a malfunctioning Chenbot, I’m sure the remaining cast members of “The Talk” would love to know how to make it stop.
