Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Jerry Bruckheimer are teaming up for a fictional wrestling drama that’s been optioned by NBC.

Set in the world of wrestling in the 1980s, the one-hour series has received a pilot commitment from the network. Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer behind such TV shows as the “CSI” franchise and “The Amazing Race” will executive produce the project, coming from Warner Bros. Television.

Johnson, the former wrestler turned action star, is also listed as an executive producer, but there’s no word on if he’ll be involved in front of the camera as well.
