Watch a Promo for FX’s New Psycho-Sexual Thriller, ‘American Horror Story’

FX has just released a brand new promo for its upcoming thriller “American Horror Story.” From the minds of “Glee” and “Nip/Tuck” executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, the deranged drama stars Connie Britton (“Friday Night Lights“) and Dylan McDermott (“The Practice“) as a couple who unknowingly move into a psychologically destructive house of horrors in an attempt to escape their own intra-marital house of horrors. Of course there’s no avoiding horrors of any sort in this twisted tale, and terror quickly ensues (mostly for viewers). Keep an eye out for Jessica Lange, who plays their creepy Sue Sylvester-ish neighbor, Taissa Farmiga as their troubled daughter, and Frances Conroy and Alexandra Breckenridge who both star as the family’s housekeeper (hint: it depends on whose point of view you’re seeing her from).

“American Horror Story” premieres Weds. Oct. 5 on FX. Watch “Family Portrait” below:
