Can’t get enough of your favorite runners-up from “Project Runway”? Well, here’s a way to indulge all the more: Lifetime is pulling up its hemline to reveal its eponymous spinoff “Project Runway All Stars.”
However, unlike the network’s “All Star Challenge” in 2009, model/actress Angela Lindvall is the new host that’s “in” and Heidi the Kluminator is “out.” In fact, the entire cast is different. According to THR, Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman will serve as judges, and Marie Claire editor-in-chief Joanna Coles will “make it work” fulfilling Tim Gunn’s role as mentor.
Among the 13 contestants on “All Stars,” expect to see last season’s runner-up and fan fave, Mondo Guerra, as well as Season 1’s Austin Scarlett. Other designers include: Kara Janx (Season 2, fourth place), Elisa Jimenez (Season 4, 10th place), Rami Kashou (Season Four, runner-up), Sweet P/Kathleen Vaughn (Season 4, fifth place), and Michael Costello (Season 8, fourth place).
In addition to Lifetime’s 12 one-hour episodes of “All Stars,” which will debut later this year, the network also plans on releasing a companion spinoff called “Project Accessory.”
