‘Friday Night Lights,’ ‘Game of Thrones’ Top TCA Awards

The Television Critics Association handed out their annual awards, honoring the critics’ picks for the best in television for the 2010-2011 season. “Parks and Recreation” star and Individual Achievement in Comedy winner Nick Offerman hosted the 27th Annual TCA Awards show, held Saturday night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.

TV critics gave out awards in 12 categories, including the first-ever reality programming category, with some critical darlings getting their due, notably underdog favorites “Friday Night Lights,” newbie “Game of Thrones” and repeat winners “Mad Men.”
