The White House announced Monday that First Lady Michelle Obama will be appearing on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” later this fall.

The guest stint is part of the First Lady’s “Joining Forces” initiative to help military families. She’ll tape the episode, which focuses on the Marshall family, this Thursday in Fayetteville, N.C., according to the New York Post.

The First Lady and the “Makeover” team will work with Barbara Marshall, a 15-year Navy veteran who gives homeless female vets a place to stay, a home called “The Steps-N-Stages Jubilee House,” which the gang will help re-build.

Michelle Obama’s episode of “Extreme Makeover” is slated to air in October. She also taped last month a special appearance on the Nickelodeon hit “iCarly” as part of the ongoing “Joining Forces” initiative. That episode will air in January.
