Now that she’s happily enthralled with new love Justin Theroux, Jennifer Aniston seems more comfortable talking about her devastating 2005 break up from you know who. The actress went “Inside the Actor’s Studio” with James Lipton, where she revealed how her ironically themed 2006 hit film “The Break Up” helped heal her from her … break up.
“It was just a beautiful human story about a couple breaking up. And I was slightly familiar on the topic,” Aniston smirked, “so honestly, I felt like, what a great way to exorcise some of that.”
The subject matter didn’t hit too close to home, according to Aniston, who was very publicly going through the end of her five-year marriage to Brad Pitt amidst the beginning of his relationship with Angelina Jolie.
Dealing with her own personal heartache at the same time as shooting made it “Easier, oddly,” Aniston, 42, claims. “I enjoyed it. It really enjoyed it. You would think otherwise, because even the producers were like, ‘I don’t know if we should ask you to do this,’ but I was like, why not? Turn the page, let’s move on.”

Aniston also took time to reflect on the role that made her famous: Rachel Green from “Friends.” When Lipton asked about filming the final episode of the iconic ’90s sitcom, Aniston shared her final moments on set.
“That was just awful,” she says. “The last scene, we just wept, cried our eyes out, in front of the whole show. A couple of us stayed really late and we crawled up to the roof of stage 24 and we drank champagne and just watched the sunrise. It was really wonderful.”
“It’s one of the greatest jobs I ever had,” she adds. “It gave me everything … and it’s the best time I ever had.”
“Inside the Actor’s Studio” with Jennifer Aniston airs Monday, July 12 at 8 p.m./EST on Bravo.
