Diapers!  Daddies!  Drama!

Season 3 of MTV’s docu-soap “Teen Mom” returns tonight with a new set of burning questions:  Will Catelyn finally move in with Tyler?  How will Amber choose between baby daddy Gary and new (trimmer) beau Chris?  And will Farrah’s new boobs really be the key to a successful modeling career?

The unplanned children (remember them?) have been reduced to bit players this season as storylines now focus on the girl’s day-to-day personal and relationship issues.

Preview This Season:

Like Maci’s struggle to collect child support from her ex – while trying to keep things cool with new love Kyle.  And Farrah trying to sort out a rocky relationship with her mother – who she once had arrested for assaulting her.

“The show has completely shifted away from the reality of raising a child — hard enough for educated, middle-income families — into a soap about looking for love in all the wrong places,” writes columnist Linda Stassi in The New York Post.

Since debuting in 2009, “Teen Mom” and its sister show “16 & Pregnant” have become cultural phenomenons.  And their stars – Amber Portwood, Catelyn Lowell, Farrah Abraham, and Maci Bookout — tabloid darlings.

In June, troublemaker Amber landed in an Indiana emergency room after a botched suicide attempt.  The 21 year-old high school drop out claimed she was upset that her ex-boyfriend Gary would take their daughter away and leave her – a threat makes again in the trailer below.
