Starz has canceled “Camelot” after one season, it was announced Thursday.
The period drama, which took on the legend of King Arthur, starred Joseph Feinnes, Jamie Campbell Bower and Eva Green. The network “declined the option to renew” the series, due in part to “significant production challenges,” according to Deadline Hollywood. Such challenges reportedly included “scheduling conflicts” with some of the actors, making filming the series, which is shot in Ireland, difficult.
Reasons not cited may include the less than stellar ratings. The show premiered to a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demo and 1.1 million viewers and ended with a 0.4 rating in 18-49 and 1.5 million viewers, according to TVBytheNumbers.
