SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Attorneys for a reality television producer charged with killing his wife in Mexico say they want a judge to allow them to call the couple’s 6-year-old daughter as a witness during an upcoming extradition hearing.

The attorneys for ex-”Survivor” producer Bruce Beresford-Redman acknowledged during a news conference Tuesday that having any witnesses testify during the proceedings in Los Angeles would be unusual. But attorneys Richard Hirsch and Vicki Podberesky say the girl should be allowed to testify that she didn’t see her parents arguing during an April 2010 vacation in Cancun that ended with the discovery of Monica Beresford-Redman’s body in a sewer.

Bruce Beresford-Redman is fighting extradition to Mexico, where he is charged with aggravated homicide.

Hirsch and Podberesky say physical evidence doesn’t support the charge.
