It’s a “Lost” reunion and in Hawaii!

Former “Lost” star Terry O’Quinn is going baaaaack to the island! He’s joining the cast of “Hawaii Five-0” in a recurring role, according to TVLine.

O’Quinn will play the Navy Seal Lt. Commander who trained Alex O’Loughlin’s Steve McGarrett and served with his father in Vietnam. And yes, there’s some mystery to his character. Or rather, he “holds some of the answers to the mysteries” surrounding the murders of McGarrett’s parents.

The casting reunites O’Quinn with his fellow “Lostie” Daniel Dae Kim, who costars on “Five-0″ as Detective Chin Ho Kelly.

Kim seems stoked for working with his old buddy again.

“Class, talent and professionalism – not to mention a great golf swing ; ) – welcome back to the island, Mr. Terry O’Quinn.” – Kim Tweeted Tuesday.

Filming for the upcoming season begins in mid-July in Hawaii, with O’Quinn’s first appearance on the show coming in the season premiere.
