Fox News Channel just hired one of CNN’s top journalists. He’s Ed Henry, CNN’s senior White House correspondent since 2008 and a member of CNN’s White House press corps since 2006.

FNC announced Monday that Henry’s been hired as Fox’s new chief White House correspondent. The hiring resulted in a number of shifts of FNC’s Washington personnel. Wendell Goler becomes senior White House and foreign affairs correspondent, Mike Emanuel has been named chief congressional correspondent, and James Rosen becomes chief Washington correspondent. Carl Cameron continues as chief political correspondent.

Henry once worked for the influential Washington publication “Roll Call,” and previously worked as a young investigative reporter for the late Jack Anderson. “We’ve been impressed with Henry’s reporting for a long time,” said FNC’s Michael Clemente, senior vice president of news editorial, in a prepared statement.
