While most people think Ashley Hebert was naive (herself included) for letting herself get played by one of her shady suitors this season, the broken-hearted “Bachelorette” does have one surprising defender in her corner: Larry David.

David appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” Thursday night to promote the new season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” which premieres Sunday, July 10 on HBO. Hebert was the second guest on the program, and once David heard her thorny story about being blindsided by bad boy Bentley Williams, who duped her and dumped her on TV, David couldn’t help but chime in.

“I’m gonna kill that mofo!” David said. “I don’t know what this guy did, but I really dislike him.”
