Summer is sizzling for diehard Gleeks … thanks to “Glee” heartthrob Darren Criss.

First, the “Glee” star was pulled offstage by an over-eager fan last Thursday night at the “Glee Live! In Concert!” show in Washington, D.C., according to the Washington Post.

Luckily, he wasn’t hurt and not too embarrassed to make light of the incident afterward on Twitter:

“To the lady who pulled me off the stage and into the pit tonight: if I ever see you on a stage… keep your wits about ya. Love, Darren :) !”

Criss is also making hearts melt on the new Oxygen reality show “The Glee Project,” which debuted Sunday night.

On the show, 12 talented contestants (whittled from a pool of 40,000 applicants) vie for the chance to win a seven-episode arc on “Glee” by going through a musical boot camp of sorts.

In the premiere, Criss, who plays Warbler Blaine on the Fox hit, stopped by the “Project” to offer some words of wisdom to the wannabes. And one of the singers wasted no time making an impression – awkward as it may have been – on the hunk, by flashing her “sass” when Criss addressed her with advice. The exchange made Criss and some of the other wannabe Gleeks “uncomfortable,” according to a fellow contestant.

“My name is Emily…but you can call me whatever you want,” the 22 year old cooed to Criss, who politely kept to business and called her … Emily. She then went on to describe her talents to the camera – and failed to mention singing or dancing or acting as one of them.

“I’m an amazing flirt – it’s crazy,” Emily says. “My talent is this [flips hair] and this [flips hair again]. It’s fun. It makes me different.” Actually, it doesn’t Em, but good luck with that.

“The Glee Project” airs Sunday nights on Oxygen.
