Barry Manilow Reveals Deathly Agreement With Suzanne Somers

Barry Manilow didn’t write “Funeral For A Friend,” but he made an agreement with his pal, actress-author Suzanne Somers, that calls to mind Elton John’s song. While promoting his new album Wednesday on “The Talk,” the music icon spoke candidly about fame and money, and then revealed even more when Julie Chen asked if it was true he and Somers had agreed to plan each others funeral. “You told them?” said Manilow, feigning surprise while looking at longtime friend. Of course, the story was true. While attending the funeral of an acquaintance, which they thought he’d hate, they decided that if one of them went before the other, they’d plan the funeral. “We made a deal,” admitted Manilow, who then sequed, as daytime talk shows do, from death into a medley of his hits – the songs that will make him live forever. Then he went on to talk about his mistakes. Engaging stuff. Take a look at the clips.
