The popular comedian, who has 3.5 million Twitter followers and has brought more than $40 million worth of ad revenue into E!, certainly has plenty of fallback careers. She’s written best-selling books, like “Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea,” and NBC recently picked up a situation comedy she’s producing that’s based on that tome. Whether ‘Chelsea Lately’ stays or goes, though, Handler tells the Reporter that big changes are ahead for her.
“I want to do something that’s going to utilize my brain a little more than this (‘Lately’) show,” she says. “If that is the show I’m going to do, it’s going to change. But it may turn out that I’m done with it altogether. I can’t keep doing the same thing; my brain is bleeding.”
