Sometimes stripping off your illusions (and clothes) can help you to see that there ain’t no Love nor Light left in your soul. Such is the case with reality TV nemesis Danielle Staub.

According to People, Staub immediately left her stripping gig with Scores Gentleman’s Club when photos surfaced of her in her birthday suit earlier this week. She says she is now seeking help for psychological issues stemming from childhood sexual abuse and has “sought out” Dr. Drew Pinsky to help her in her recovery.

Is Danielle Dating Ray J?

“My low self-esteem derived from childhood sexual abuse has messed with my mind and self-worth, and over the years I thought about getting help but pushed it deep into the depths of denial,” she says. “For years I have had the suicide hotline on my cell phone and would like nothing more than to free myself from this constant pressure.”

The 48-year-old continues: “Seeing how I have hurt myself and my family this time, I can no longer push it behind me.”

But don’t worry, Staublicious fans: Your Danny Girl hasn’t lost her appetite for the limelight. The former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” starlet is in the midst of filming a new VH1 restaurant reality show called “Famous Food,” working alongside “Bachelor” Jake Pavelka and reconstructed Barbie Heidi Montag.
