Colin Hanks has signed on to join the cast of “Dexter” as a full-time regular for Season 6 of the Showtime series.
Hanks will appear in all twelve episodes playing Travis, “a highly intelligent young expert on ancient artifacts who gets linked to a series of grisly murders in Miami,” according to a press release issued Tuesday. Although it appears as if the character of Travis will be right in Dexter Morgan’s crosshairs, producers have noted the upcoming season won’t focus on a single villain as the show has in previous years.
Production on Season 6 begins in June. The Emmy-nominated drama returns to Showtime’s lineup this fall.
Hanks last appeared on television in Fox’s “The Good Guys” and in a recurring role on AMC’s “Mad Men.”
