Just when Kendra Wilkinson was gaining her confidence and performing some of her best dances the past two weeks on “Dancing with the Stars,” she got the axe.
With it being such an emotional ride for her – the tears, the outburst over Carrie Ann Inaba’s comments, the confidence struggles – one would think she’d be pretty hard on herself after Tuesday night’s elimination. But we caught up with her on the dance floor just moments after getting the bad news, and the reality star couldn’t have handled it more, well, ladylike.
“I’m actually feeling really, really good,” she told reporters. “You know, Mother’s Day is next week and it was the right time. As much as I had a great night last night and we had a great dance, we had great momentum going on, but it just wasn’t meant to be. If it’s not meant to be I don’t force it. I’m not sad about it. I’m very happy. I’m very happy where we ended. We ended on a very positive note.”
Kendra even said she felt it coming: “The beginning of the day started off really well, but then in the middle of the day, I started feeling this energy. I started really feeling it in the air that this would be my day.”
Not so much for partner Louis Van Amstel, who told us, “It was weird because I felt very comfortable. I was like, yeah, and then she said something and I said, ‘You have such an intuition.’ Women’s intuition? “Yeah, and then it happened. I did not expect it,” he said.
Kendra added she’s definitely taking confidence away from this experience, but quipped, “Confidence, definitely, yeah. I’m 100% confidant being a mother, being a wife, doing the things I know how to do.”
