David Hasselhoff may be a big pop star in Germany, but apparently he doesn’t translate to the UK.

Just two weeks into his new gig as a judge on “Britain’s Got Talent,” Hasselhoff is being blamed for a big ratings drop and may be out of a job at the end of the season, the British press is reporting.

So far, The Hoff has confused Scotland with Ireland (they don’t like it when you do that) and struggled to understand British accents.

The show’s own website made light of his American ear this week with the headline “Hoft in translation!”

“Britain’s Got Talent” creator Simon Cowell hired Hasselhoff as his own replacement after Hoff, 58, lost his job on “America’s Got Talent” last year to Howie Mandel.

But after a drop of 1 million viewers from week one to two, Hasselhoff will reportedly be replaced by British “X Factor” judge Louis Walsh, who is apparently a British person on TV. (It’s probably bigger news over there.)

“With falling ratings, discussions have taken place at a senior level and the view is that Hasselhoff won’t return next year,” a source told The Daily Mail.
