Sarah Palin will not miss Katie Couric at CBS.
Palin took news of Couric’s departure from the “CBS Evening News” as an opportunity to roll her eyes and mock the anchor who conducted the damaging 2008 interview in which Palin came off less-than-informed.
Palin memorably couldn’t come up with names of newspapers she reads when asked by Couric and also struggled to explain how living near Russia gave her foreign policy experience, as she’d claimed.
Appearing on Wednesday’s “On the Record,” Palin was asked, somewhat sheepishly, by host Greta Van Susteren what she thought about Couric leaving.
Palin had her one-liner all shined up in sarcasm and ready to go.
“I think I read that in a newspaper, one of many newspapers I read online,” she snarked.
“Yeah, and I hear that she wants to now engage in more ‘multi-dimensional story telling’ versus I guess just the ‘straight on, read into the, that teleprompter screen’ story telling. More power to her. I wish her well with her – ‘multi-dimensional story telling.’”
