Donald Trump is ruffling a lot of feathers these days. MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell is the latest speaking out against the man he calls an “ignoramus.”

On “The Last Word” Thursday night, O’Donnell began his rant by playing audio of Trump dissing him in a radio interview.

“That’s the closest I can get to getting Donald on the show, because, you see, getting Donald on your show requires a certain amount of sucking up to Donald and pretending he is some kind of adult who deserves to sit in an adult chair on your show,” O’Donnell snarked. (Trump appeared on NBC’s “Today” show last week.)

Yep, O’Donnell even took his own bosses to task for giving Trump publicity.

Trump “desperately needs the income” from his network, O’Donnell said. He claimed “Celebrity Apprentice” ratings were down, putting it at risk of cancellation – but actually they’re only a little low and still double last season’s average, according to The Huffington Post.

Cancellation would leave Trump without an excuse for bowing out of his possible presidential run, “except the truth that he is an ignoramus about government and could not afford to pay for a presidential campaign,” O’Donnell continued.

Trump recently announced plans for a press conference on the May 22 finale of “Celebrity Apprentice,” during which he may or may not declare his presidential plans.
