Shocking news alert: Now that “Jersey Shore” has hit the Italian airwaves, the boot-shaped peninsula wants to kick some Italian-American Guido Donkey Butt! Mama mia!

Even though the hair-obsessed, rust-colored gui-donka-donks have yet to step foot on the shores of the Motherland to film their fourth season, Italians everywhere are fuming at the thought of these cultural mutants committing debaucherous buffoonery on their cobble-stoned streets!

Roberto Del Bove, a newspaper columnist in Rome, is one of the many haters. According to the NY Post, he wrote that the cast “embody the worst stereotypes of Italians, multiplied by thousands and Americanized.”

Another Rome paper described Snooki and the rest of the crew as having “exaggerated narcissism, boundless love for the family and outlandish eccentricity.” (Wait. That just sounds like the average American. We kid, we kid.)

But none of this should really come as a shock to the reality TV-lovin’ guido and guidettes. After all, the years of nay-saying here at home should prepare them well for the international fist-shaking (and perhaps, meatball-throwing) that might be coming their way. According to HuffPo , the national Italian-American organization, UNICO, called the show “trash television” in 2009 and upon hearing of the crew’s overseas stint, recently added: “People used to go to the circus to see the freak show – that is what this will be… It will not only hurt Italians but all Americans … their outrageous, reprehensible behavior will make us look like buffoons and bimbos.”

At this rate, it looks like the Italian paparazzi will be the only peeps welcoming the gang with open arms.
